Taj Gibson 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves power forward Taj Gibson might be one of the most underappreciated players in the league. He rarely gets any attention, even though he regularly flirts with a double-double and gets you a steal here and a block there. The nine-year veteran was even among the top-six in field goal percentage last season, nailing an outstanding 57.7 percent of his shots. He started all 82 games for the T-Wolves and picked up 33.3 minutes per game. Gibson's 7.1 rebounds were his best mark since getting 7.5 during his rookie year in 2009-10 and he added 12.2 points per game. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has a long history with Gibson and he plays a big part in his plans. On their depth chart, the Timberwolves currently have only Anthony Tolliver behind Gibson for the power forward spot so we can expect to see another very solid year from the Tajinator.
