3/15:After having a successful first half in San Diego last year, Melvin Upton did not have similar results after being traded to the Blue Jays midyear. Unfortunately, that dismay has carried over to spring training, as he has not produced much as of yet. Hopefully, Tuesday is a sign of things to come, as he finally went deep with his first long ball of the year. In spring training games thus far, Upton is hitting only .143 with a .143 on-base percentage and dismal .429 OPS over 21 at-bats with two runs scored and one RBI. Upton is still expected to see the majority of playing time in left field, but if he struggles, look for Ezequiel Carrera to eat into that playing time.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
