12/16:Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports that relief pitcher Steve Cishek’s deal with the Chicago Cubs is for two-years and $13 million. Cishek is coming off a nice year in which he spent time with the Mariners and Rays and pitched to a 2.01 ERA. He figures to be part of the late-inning mix for the Cubs. Cishek also provides closer experience, and there is a chance he can earn that role in Chicago if free-agent closer Wade Davis is not brought back. He will be reunited with Jim Hickey, the Cubs new pitching coach, who Cishek spent half the season with in Tampa Bay.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
