6/21:New York Mets starting pitcher Seth Lugo pleasantly surprised just about everyone with how well he pitched upon entering the rotation for the injured Noah Syndergaard, but his results have taken a turn for the worse over his last two outings. After allowing five earned runs in five innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 15, Lugo surrendered six runs (only three earned) across three innings pitched on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. He struck out five on the evening, walking two. There’s no doubt Lugo was the recipient of some bad luck due to errors in this one, but there’s also no doubt he hasn’t been nearly as sharp as he was before. He remains a fine pitcher to stream in attractive matchups.--John Smith
