Seiya Suzuki 2024 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Primed For More Success In Third Season
11 months agoSeiya Suzuki took a big step in his second season with the Chicago Cubs. The right fielder saw his batting average go from .262 to .285, scoring 21 more runs. He also saw his power numbers increase by hitting six more round-trippers, bumping his slugging from .433 to .485. A significant reason for this improvement was his dominant run that began in August. In August, he hit a .321 AVG, tallied a .365 OBP, a .641 SLG, and a 1.006 OPS. He followed that up with an even better September, where he hit a .370 AVG, tallied a .434 OBP, with a .685 SLG and a 1.119 OPS. A significant reason why Suzuki can continue to build on his success is due to how hard he hits the ball. He ranked in the top 94% of qualified hitters in max exit velocity and the top 84th% in hard-hit rate. Suzuki, currently positioned as the 24th outfielder in roto scoring and with an NFBC ADP of 111, will be a valuable asset in 2024 due to his flashes of power and bat-to-ball skills. He could be ranked much higher when discussing him next year. ATC projects the former NPB star to hit 22 home runs with a .270 AVG and .464 SLG in 2024.
