8/14:When Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen was placed on the disabled list with an irregular heartbeat, the Dodgers bullpen was thrown into chaos. Added to that massive loss was the injection of former starters Kenta Maeda and Ross Stripling, who are being moved to the bullpen to accommodate Alex Wood and Hyun-Jin Ryu returning to the starting rotation after injury layoffs of their own. On Monday night in L.A., the Dodgers turned to Scott Alexander to close out a 2-1 lead in the ninth. After giving up four singles and three earned runs, the game was lost and Pedro Baez came in to mop up the final out. So who's the final boss for the Dodgers these days? Alexander may get one more chance, but it's also possible that Maeda will be in the mix for saves in the immediate future. Manager Dave Roberts will probably have to play it by ear every game, depending on who's available and who gets the job done. We'll let you know if someone emerges as the clear closer.--Devon Taylor - RotoBaller
