7 years agoThe New Orleans Saints are signing Chicago Bears restricted free-agent wide receiver Cameron Meredith to an offer sheet, according to a source. Saints receivers coach Curtis Johnson was the former Bears receivers coach and has history with Meredith. The Bears have the option of matching the Saints offer, which they will probably do since they need all the help they can get in the passing game, even after signing Allen Robinson in free agency. The 25-year-old missed all of last year due to injury but could be a solid No. 3 along with Robinson and Kevin White next year, if White can stay healthy himself. Meredith had 66 catches for 888 yards and four touchdowns in 2016, but it may be hard for him to match those numbers alongside Robinson and White in 2018 if the Bears match New Orleans' offer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
