8/11:The Colorado Rockies promoted corner infield prospect Ryan McMahon from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday and optioned outfielder Raimel Tapia to Albuquerque in a corresponding move. McMahon struggled in 2016 but has bounced back in a big way this season, hitting .326 with six homers and 32 RBI in 49 games at Double-A and .375 with 13 jacks and 50 RBI in 59 games at Triple-A. The left-handed hitting McMahon is an intriguing prospect in the long term, but he's unlikely to see much playing time down the stretch with the Rockies unless Mark Reynolds' wrist injury turns out to be more severe. Only take a chance on McMahon as a stash if you have the room in deep NL-only and dynasty leagues. Tapia just didn't have much of a chance for consistent playing time in Colorado's crowded outfield.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
