12/31:Colorado Rockies general manager Jeff Bridich said the team is considering a contract extension for third baseman Nolan Arenado, who will make $17.75 million in 2018 and is arbitration-eligible in 2019. It's a no-brainer idea to lock up one of the best all-around players at the position in baseball. Arenado hit an impressive .309/.373/.586 with 37 home runs and 130 RBI in 159 games for the Rockies in 2017, and he is one of the best defensive third basemen in baseball. Arenado has had at least 37 homers and 130 RBI in each of the last three seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
