8/12:San Diego pitcher Robbie Erlin is another Padres pither recovering from Tommy John surgery who hasn't seen game action all year. Like Colin Rea, it appears this will be a lost season for Erlin, as he is still in the rehab phase and hasn't yet taken the mound at the minor-league level. Manager Andy Green explained, “He’s had stops and starts in his rehab process, which is just the nature of coming back from Tommy John surgery. I think overall everything structurally is sound. It just hasn't been as streamlined a process as I'm sure he would have liked." Erlin was a fifth rotation arm for the team last year before suffering the injury in mid-April. He will have to fight for a roster spot next year. The 26-year-old owns a 4.54 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 9-12 record in the majors.--Pierre Camus - RotoBaller
