Ricky Rubio 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoUtah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio will look to rebound from his un-Rubio-like 2017-18 season. Rubio had been fantasy gold in previous seasons as he would offer elite passing and steals for owners, but with the move to Salt Lake City and the addition of rookie-stud Donovan Mitchell, Rubio saw his output take a major hit. Rubio produced 8.5 assists per night and 2.1 steals a game in his first six seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves but saw these numbers take a dive to 5.3 and 1.6 respectively last season. Utah does not play at the pace that matches Rubio’s best possible production but we did see Rubio up his scoring to 13.1 points and his shooting efficiency increased to a career-best .476. Rubio will most likely not return to his previous output, but he makes for a solid second or third point guard for any fantasy team.
