3 years agoRichard Urena continues to add to his game as he moves up. He is very athletic and can play shortstop, but still makes mistakes that should correct with more repetitions. Urena needs to work on his overall approach at the plate to get deeper in at-bats instead of being overly aggressive early. He has a lot of developing ability still dormant in the bat that should improve as he fills out more. He could also serve to adjust his swing from both sides of the plate. His right-handed swing can get a little long, and he tends to roll over on the ball from both sides of the plate. If he can tap into his raw ability, he could be a top-10 shortstop in the big leagues. The main thing holding him back is his approach and pitch recognition, as he tends to roll over along with striking out a lot. He has shown the ability to make adjustments, which favors his future upside. At 20 years old, there is a lot of time left for him to turn into an uber-prospect ready to take on the shortstop role that Troy Tulowitzki is likely to leave behind soon.--Joshua Schwager
