Red Sox Aggressive In Signing 11 Undrafted Free Agents
4 years agoThe Boston Red Sox agreed to terms with 11 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2020 MLB draft last week. Due to the shortened draft this year, all 30 teams may sign an unlimited number of high school and college players who went undrafted for a maximum of $20,000 each. The Red Sox prioritized pitching with their undrafted free-agent signings. Those inked include St. Thomas right-handed pitcher Merfy Andrew, Tampa righty Jacinto Arredondo, Longwood righty Maceo Campbell, Saint Joseph's righty Jordan DiValerio, Florida International catcher/first baseman Jose Garcia, South Florida righty Graham Hoffman, Fordham infielder Jake MacKenzie, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville righty Cole Milam, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy catcher Juan Montero, Puerto Rico High School righty Herny Nunez-Rijo and Miami right-hander Brian Van Belle.
