Philip Rivers 2018 Player Outlook: Old Reliable Looks To Turn In Another QB1 Season
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been one of the most dependable fantasy quarterbacks of his era. The veteran signal-caller has been a top-12 fantasy quarterback in all but one of his past 10 seasons and hasn't missed a game in the 12 seasons since he was installed as the team's starting quarterback. Rivers finished the 2017 season with 4,515 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, earning the seventh Pro Bowl nod in his career. While he lost tight ends Hunter Henry and Antonio Gates in the offseason, Rivers still has plenty of weapons to attack opposing defenses with, including Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Tyrell Williams, and Melvin Gordon. Rivers is an excellent quarterback to target in the double-digit rounds of fantasy drafts as he should have little trouble turning in another low-end QB1 season.
