7 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Pedro Strop will likely remain in a late-inning role with the club, but won't offer much fantasy value. Strop will be competing with Carl Edwards, Steve Cishek and Brandon Morrow for late-inning work manager Joe Maddon tends to go with the hot-hand when it comes to his bullpen. Strop will likely earn some holds, but for the most part, can be avoided in fantasy leagues for the 2018 season barring any injuries that would propel him to a closer role. In 2017 he was second on the cubs with 21 holds and had a 2.83 ERA.
