Paul Millsap 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoDenver Nuggets power forward Paul Millsap is coming off his worst season since 2009-10 when he was with the Utah Jazz. Millsap did bounce back to play 70 games after suiting up in just 38 in his first year with the Nuggets, but his numbers dipped across the board as the aging Millsap is now on the wrong side of 30 (34). It actually was not all that bad for the veteran as he still managed to post 12.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 blocks, 1.2 steals and 0.8 makes from three with some of his more efficient shooting numbers of career with 48.4% from the floor and 36.5% from three across 27.1 minutes a night. We need to keep in mind that the Nuggets brought in Jerami Grant form OKC who is coming off a career season and the Nuggets envision Grant has the franchise’s power forward once Millsap moves on. Until then, we should expect some solid late-round value from the grizzled veteran this season, and possibly even higher if he can manage to suit up in 70-plus games.
