Dante Pettis is signing a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN. The 2018 second-round pick last played in 2022 with Chicago, and he was released during last year's training camp with an injury settlement. Pettis has hauled in just 71 passes for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns through his first 50 regular season games. He's unlikely to be on the fantasy radar in 2024, especially since the Bears now have one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in
DJ Moore and
Keenan Allen.

Michael Gallup, according to Michael Gehlken on the Dallas Morning News. Gallup, a 2018 third-round pick, has struggled to produce since his 1,107-yard season in 2019. Since that year, the 28-year-old has not eclipsed 850 yards in a single season, and he's produced fewer than 500 yards in each of the last three campaigns. He will likely have a few interest suitors on the open market, but it'd be surprising if he becomes a No. 2 wide receiver with a new organization. Instead, he's probably headed for a WR3 or WR4 role in 2024, leaving him off the fantasy football radar in most formats.

Easton Stick, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo. The former fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of North Dakota State played in five games last year after
Justin Herbert (finger) went on Injured Reserve with a broken finger. In those games, Stick posted 1,129 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He reportedly drew interest from multiple teams on the open market, but he landed back with L.A. under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. Even if Herbert goes down this season for any length of time, Stick will have limited fantasy upside following the team's release of
Mike Williams and trade of
Keenan Allen to the Bears.

Daniel Bellinger on the roster and signed former Philadelphia Eagles tight end
Jack Stoll this week, so the position is getting crowded behind Waller. Manhertz has caught just 26 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns in his eight-year career with the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Denver Broncos, so he will not be on the fantasy radar in 2024. He is primarily a blocking tight end, and he could be buried on the depth chart.

The former NFL linebacker was fired by Tennessee after going 13-21 in his last two seasons at the helm. He now lands on his feet with an organization that made the playoff last year with
Joe Flacco at quarterback. Although he won't be in a prominent role, the former NFL Head Coach of the Year could use this opportunity to grow as a coach and ultimately land another head gig as soon as the 2025 season.

1 month agoLos Angeles Rams legendary pass-rusher Aaron Donald announced his retirement from professional football on Friday. Donald retires as one of the best players at his position all time. The 32-year-old was the Rams' 13th overall pick in the 2014 draft out of Pittsburgh, and he had a phenomenal career in his 10 NFL seasons, which all came with the Rams. Donald was named the Defensive Player of the Year four different times, including in his rookie season in 2014 and he was also named to the Pro Bowl in every season of his career while earning eight first-team All-Pro selections. He won the Super Bowl with LA in 2021 and was reportedly considering retirement after that. Donald will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer after racking up 111 career sacks, 543 tackles (340 solo), 176 tackles for loss, 260 QB hits, 21 passes defended 24 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries in 154 regular season-games.

Drew Lock would compete for a starting role with the G-Men in 2024, the Giants did not tell Lock that he would be competing for the starting gig with
Daniel Jones in order to sign him. Lock signed a one-year, $5 million deal with New York on Tuesday to fill the traditional role of a backup behind Jones, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. Schneider said Seattle wanted to re-sign Lock, but he opted not to return to the Seahawks. Jones is coming off a torn ACL and is running out of chances to prove himself as the QB of the future for the Giants, but there is no QB controversy between him and Lock to open the season.

Tanner Hudson is re-signing with the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday on an undisclosed one-year deal, according to a source. In his first year in Cincinnati last season, Hudson caught a career-high 39 passes for 352 yards and one touchdown on 50 targets in 12 games played (one start). His previous career-high in receptions came the previous season with the New York Giants, when he had just 10 catches. The 29-year-old ended up being the team's top pass-catching tight end a season ago due to the struggles of
Irv Smith Jr., who has since moved on to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals signed
Mike Gesicki in free agency and also brought back

Jerry Jeudy on Friday to create more than $10 million in 2024 salary cap space. Jeudy is entering the fifth-year option season on his rookie deal and hasn't reached any kind of extension with the Browns since being acquired from the Denver Broncos last weekend, so the restructure likely adds void years to his deal. The 24-year-old former first-rounder from Alabama didn't live up to expectations in Denver in his four years with the team, accumulating 211 catches for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns in 57 games (44 starts). 1 month agoThe San Francisco 49ers restructured the contract of tight end
George Kittle on Friday to create close to $10 million in 2024 salary cap space. It's likely that the 49ers converted Kittle's base salary this year into bonus money to create the cap space. The 30-year-old former fifth-round pick by the team in 2017 out of Iowa has made the Pro Bowl five times in his first seven seasons and has been a big reason for the 49ers' success in recent year. In 16 regular-season games, Kittle caught 65 of his 90 targets for a league-high 1,020 receiving yards among tight ends and six touchdowns. He only caught two passes for four yards in the Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but Kittle continues to be one of the top fantasy tight ends in the game.
