Marquise Brown signed a one-year, $11 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. Brown will pair with superstar quarterback
Patrick Mahomes and provide the Chiefs a big play wideout the team has been lacking since
Tyreek Hill. Brown will be Kansas City's third option in the passing game behind
Travis Kelce and
Rashee Rice. He provides Mahomes with a reliable, speedy target and should bounce back in 2024 after managing 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns with the Cardinals last season. It will be tough for Hollywood to replicate his final season with Baltimore, where he hauled in 91 passes for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns. Brown should see a fantasy boost with his new team and is borderline WR3 heading into early 2024 drafts.

Rondale Moore. Although, there's not a ton of value here, but the veteran wideout is a low risk move for the Cardinals. His best season came with the Houston Texans during the 2022 season. He finished with 48 receptions, 548 yards, and two touchdowns during that season. It's unlikely that he does that again, but he might get a decent amount of reps if the Cardinals fail to add anyone else this offseason.

Cedrick Wilson Jr. on Thursday. The salary is unknown at the moment, but it appears to be a two-year deal. The 28-year-old hasn't done much of the field since his breakout 2021 season with the Dallas Cowboys. Geno Smith. Seahawks general manager John Schneider confirmed that they didn't acquire Howell to compete with Smith in camp. It sounds like the Seahawks believe that Howell has the potential to be a starter, but he still has areas to improve upon before moving into that role. Smith is entering the final year of his deal, so maybe the Seahawks move onto Howell after 2024. Regardless, it looks like the plan is for Smith to be under center to begin the 2024 season.

1 month agoThe Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to terms on a deal with defensive tackle Poona Ford on Thursday. At the moment, Ford's salary is unknown, but it's being reported that it's a one-year deal. The 28-year-old is looking for a bounce back season after posting a dud during his first season with the Buffalo Bills in 2023. Before that, Ford was a solid contributor during his time with the Seattle Seahawks. On paper, this doesn't seem like a huge move, but it could end up being a steal for the Chargers if they can get Ford back on track.

1 month agoThe Philadelphia Eagles have signed linebacker Devin White to a one-year deal on Thursday. The former first-round pick will receive a prove-it deal worth $7.5 million for the upcoming 2024 season. White hasn't been able to live up to the hype of being taken 5th overall during the 2019 draft. He had good moments during his five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The biggest problem for White has been stopping the running game as he continues to be a liability there. The good news is, the Eagles brought in defensive mastermind Vic Fangio this offseason. If anyone is going to be able to fix White, it's going to be Fangio.

1 month agoFree-agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is scheduled to make a visit with the New York Jets after his visit with the Carolina Panthers. After what seemed like a slow beginning to the offseason is now heating up for the former first-round pick. The 31-year-old certainly did enough last season to earn himself a multi-year deal this offseason. Last season, Clowney finished with 43 tackles and 9.5 sacks in 17 games with the Baltimore Ravens. As expected, Clowney should have multiple suitors this offseason. On paper, Clowney would be better off signing with the more competitive roster in New York, but it all depends on what kind of deals these teams are willing to offer him.

1 month agoFormer New Orleans Saints safety Marcus Maye (shoulder) is drawing interest from several teams in free agency and will visit with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, according to a source. Maye was released by the Saints to begin the new league year after playing in only seven games last year while picking up 37 tackles (27 solo), one sack and two interceptions. The 31-year-old has played in only 31 combined games over the last three seasons due to various injuries. The New York Jets originally took Maye in the second round of the 2017 draft out of Florida. He's going to need to prove that he's healthy for another team to take a chance on him as secondary depth. Maye has started all 77 games that he's appeared in over seven NFL seasons and has racked up 409 tackles (288 solo), 4.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, eight interceptions, 28 passes defended, five forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

1 month agoThe Detroit Lions agreed to multi-year contract extensions for executive vice president and general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell through the 2027 season on Thursday. The moves come after Detroit had one of the best seasons in franchise history with an NFC Championship game appearance and a division championship for the first time in more than three decades. The Lions also tied the franchise record for most wins in a season (12) under both Holmes and Campbell. Campbell was hired six days after Holmes before the 2021 season. Holmes was named NFL executive of the year in 2023, while Campbell was a finalist for Associated Press Coach of the Year. The Lions also reached an extension with special assistant to the president/CEO and chairperson Chris Spielman.

1 month agoThe Houston Texans agreed to terms with free-agent defensive tackle Tim Settle on Thursday on a two-year deal worth up to $7 million with incentives, according to sources. Settle will join an interesting Texans defensive line after spending the last two seasons with the Buffalo Bills. The 26-year-old spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Commanders after Washington took him in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft out of Virginia Tech. Settle should help make up for the loss of defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins while at least being a rotational player on the interior of Houston's defensive line in 2024. In his last two seasons with the Bills, Settle recorded 20 solo tackles, two sacks, five tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 32 games (four starts).

1 month agoFree-agent pass-rusher D.J. Wonnum plans to sign an undisclosed two-year deal with the Carolina Panthers, according to a source. Wonnum will head to the NFC South after producing a career-high-tying eight sacks, a career-high 62 tackles (33 solo), seven tackles for loss, 15 QB hits, six passes defensed and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 15 games (14 starts) in 2023 in his fourth year with the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings originally took him with their fourth-round selection in 2020 out of South Carolina. Wonnum had a career year last season despite missing the tail end of the campaign due to a quadriceps injury. While not on the IDP fantasy radar, the Panthers will be hoping Wonnum can help boost the team's pass-rushing force from the linebacker position after trading Brian Burns to the Giants.

Elliott was initially drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2018 out of Texas and spent the first three years of his career in Baltimore. Since then, he's spent single years in Detroit and Miami. In 15 regular-season starts for the Dolphins last year, Elliott had 82 tackles (53 solo), an interception, a career-high seven passes defended and a fumble recovery. The 26-year-old has accumulated 287 tackles (202 solo), 3.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, three interceptions, 17 passes defended, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 57 career games (50 starts) in five NFL seasons. Elliott will be competing for a starting spot in Pittsburgh's secondary.

The former first-round pick (28th overall) by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2019 draft out of Notre Dame played the 2023 campaign with the Las Vegas Raiders and had 31 tackles (11 solo), two sacks, six QB hits and a fumble recovery in 17 games played (six starts). The 27-year-old figures to provide interior depth on Minnesota's defensive line in 2024 and won't be on the fantasy radar in IDP leagues. Tillery has totaled 147 tackles (76 solo), 12.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, 41 QB hits, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 79 games (39 starts) in his five NFL seasons to this point.
