2 weeks agoPortland Trail Blazers guard/forward Matisse Thybulle (ankle) has shaken off injury ahead of Monday's tilt against Chicago and will be available for the contest after missing one game. Thybulle has done very well lately to live up to his reputation as a defensive specialist, recording six blocks and nine steals across his last four appearances. He's ranked third in the league with 1.8 steals per game, and Thybulle's high-level defensive ability secures him regular playing time. However, the 27-year-old offers very little offensively, which is something fantasy managers always must consider.Source: Portland Trail Blazers
2 weeks agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (hamstring) will miss a fourth consecutive game on Monday against Chicago. He was already considered doubtful for the clash on the initial injury report, and the team has now officially ruled him out. Grant is a high-usage player, and his absence gives the rest of the starting unit more offensive responsibilities. Additionally, Kris Murray and Toumani Camara have found themselves playing big roles during Grant's injury layoff, but both players are quite volatile fantasy assets due to their inconsistent play.Source: Portland Trail Blazers
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (quadriceps) will get back to work on Monday against the Timberwolves. After sitting out six games with a quadriceps contusion, the Finnish star is finally ready to return to the lineup, with the team upgrading Markkanen from questionable to available. Markkanen's return will affect the usage of Keyonte George and Collin Sexton, although Jordan Clarkson's (groin) absence will still give them extra fantasy value. From a minutes perspective, Brice Sensabaugh and Taylor Hendricks likely take a hit, with Markkanen grabbing back his starter's role.Source: Utah Jazz
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso (toe) will remain in the lineup on Monday versus Portland despite being initially regarded as questionable for the game. The team has upgraded Caruso to available, with the fan favorite set to play in a 10th consecutive game. Caruso has played a significantly larger part in the attack lately due to Coby White's (hip) absence. He's always good for peripheral stats but has also now upped his scoring production to 18.7 points across the past three games. A meeting with a team that's ranked 22nd in defensive efficiency puts Caruso in a good position to cook up something good again for fantasy managers.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Coby White (hip) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup versus Portland. He was already unlikely to play in the contest after the team labeled him as doubtful on the initial injury report. This will be the third straight game White misses. Ayo Dosunmu was massive for the Bulls in the previous game against Washington with a career-high 34 points, and he should carry extra fantasy value again on Monday in another favorable matchup. The rest of the starting five will also have an opportunity to do more damage offensively.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) will return from a five-game absence on Monday versus Detroit, with the team upgrading him from probable to available ahead of the contest. He's a natural replacement in the lineup for Al Horford (toe), who gets the night off, while Porzingis could play a larger role offensively due to the absence of Jayson Tatum (ankle). However, as he was out with a hamstring strain, Boston might want to take it easy with Porzingis and not push him too hard in an easy matchup, which already smells like a blowout before the tip-off.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (ankle) will return from a one-game absence on Monday versus Detroit. The three-time All-Star sat out Sunday's matchup against Washington with a right ankle sprain and was initially listed as questionable for Monday before the team upgraded him to available. It's Jayson Tatum's (ankle) turn to rest on Monday, meaning we should see Brown a lot with the ball, and it's a great matchup for him to keep his recent momentum going. Brown has almost been like a different player since the All-Star break, posting 28.9 points with 40.6 percent shooting from deep.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) won't play against the Pistons on Monday. The Celtics star sits out the second leg of a back-to-back with a right ankle sprain after torching Washington with 30 points in 27 minutes on Sunday. Jaylen Brown (ankle) missed Sunday's game and will be back on Monday to show what he can do with extra usage against one of the weakest squads in the Association.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade (knee) won't make his return to the lineup on Monday versus Indiana. He has been downgraded from doubtful to out, missing a fifth consecutive game. Wade's absence started for personal reasons, and he's now absent for a third straight game with a sore right knee. Georges Niang has enjoyed a good stretch of games as a starter without Wade and should have another good outing in Monday's very favorable matchup. Meanwhile, Marcus Morris Sr., who's just signed a 10-day contract with Cleveland, should also step into the frontcourt rotation.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMiami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (heel) will see his absence stretch to 10 games on Monday against Philadelphia. The veteran is battling a right heel bruise. Thomas Bryant has crept into the rotation lately, but Love's injury means a lot of Bam Adebayo on the Heat frontcourt. Nikola Jovic and Haywood Highsmith have also played larger roles during his absence. With Jovic also out, Highsmith gets a chance to play a very significant role in the rotation, but he flunked as a starter on Sunday versus Detroit, and things won't be any easier for him on Monday in a tougher matchup.Source: Ira Winderman
2 weeks agoMiami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hamstring) will miss a second consecutive game on Monday versus Philadelphia. The young forward has suffered a right hamstring strain. Following Sunday's win over Detroit, Jovic said he feels like he can get back on the court soon, so it's possible the 20-year-old can return on Wednesday versus Cleveland. His injury gave Haywood Highsmith a chance to start on Sunday. He had a very quiet outing across 25 minutes and doesn't carry a lot of fantasy value.Source: Ira Winderman
2 weeks agoMiami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (foot) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Monday's matchup against Philadelphia. The Heat star sits out a second consecutive contest with a foot contusion. Butler's absence boosts the fantasy value of Jaime Jaquez Jr., who moved to the starting unit on Sunday versus Detroit. Meanwhile, it also secures extra offensive usage for Bam Adebayo, Terry Rozier, and Duncan Robinson, who's just posted a big 30-point game.Source: Ira Winderman
2 weeks agoDetroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (toe) will miss Monday's meeting with the Celtics. He was initially labeled as questionable for the game but has now been ruled out with a toe contusion. The Italian forward got hurt at the worst possible time, as Fontecchio has enjoyed a very good run in the team, averaging 15.7 points in 31.9 minutes across March. He's benefited from Ausar Thompson's (medical illness) absence, and it might now be Evan Fournier's time to shine. He already saw 31 minutes against Miami on Sunday, hitting four triples for a nice 18-point outing. Fournier should be playing with a chip on his shoulder after the C's cut ties with him in 2021.Source: Gary Washburn
2 weeks agoDetroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (knee) won't play against Boston on Monday. He has been downgraded from a questionable status, and it was already unlikely that Cunningham, who's managing a left knee injury, would suit up for the contest after Detroit also played on Sunday. With Cunningham out of the picture, Jaden Ivey will have a chance to go berserk offensively, while Marcus Sasser could play a lot more important role than he usually does. Mind you, this will be a very tough matchup for the Pistons, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much from the young team.Source: Gary Washburn
2 weeks agoOrlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac (knee) isn't listed on the injury report for Tuesday's matchup with Charlotte, suggesting he will play. The 26-year-old didn't suit up against Toronto on Sunday, although nobody should be surprised at this point whenever he sits out. But he's at least played 46 games this season, his most since 2018-19. However, Isaac has averaged just 6.4 points and 4.3 rebounds this season, which won't do much for fantasy managers.Source: Jason Beede
