2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets forward/center Grant Williams (ankle) has received the all-clear to play against the Magic on Friday. He's carrying a right ankle sprain, but the team has upgraded Williams from probable to available. The 25-year-old has been a starter for the last couple of games, putting in a pair of mixed performances. He was limited to only five points on Wednesday versus Portland but started the week with a 23-point effort against Boston. A meeting with the slow-paced Magic is a rough matchup for Williams, although he has put in sold work since moving to Charlotte, averaging 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 30.1 minutes.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets guard/forward Brandon Miller (wrist) has been cleared to play on Friday against Orlando. The team has upgraded him from probable to available. Miller is set to make a 17th consecutive appearance despite dealing with a right wrist sprain. He's averaged over 34 minutes per game since the All-Star break, even hitting the 40-minute mark twice in the past three games. The 21-year-old rookie should be heavily involved again in Friday's action, although it's an uncomfortable matchup against a good defensive team that plays with a slow pace. Miller has recorded 19.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in three previous clashes with the Magic this season.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets point guard Vasilije Micic (shoulder) will rejoin the lineup for Friday's tilt against Orlando. He was unavailable for Wednesday's meeting with Portland due to a shoulder problem. Micic has played well for the Hornets, posting 11.5 points and 6.3 assists in 28.1 minutes. His work includes a couple of 20-point performances against the Magic, although it's typically a tough matchup for guards, as Orlando has an elite defender in Jalen Suggs on the backcourt.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey (hip) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies due to left hip tightness. After missing two consecutive contests, the 23-year-old returned Thursday to suit up against Miami. He seemed unfazed by the injury posting 37 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds, a steal and a block in 41 minutes. Philadelphia could be missing several important players on Saturday, with Joel Embiid (knee), Tobias Harris (knee), and Mo Bamba (illness) also listed as questionable.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges (wrist) will be back on the court in Friday's matchup against Orlando. He missed Wednesday's clash with Portland due to a wrist contusion but is good to go on Friday, with the team upgrading Bridges from probable to available. Bridges has had a good comeback campaign in the Association, averaging 21.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 37.8 minutes. However, he's struggled against the Magic, shooting only 41.7 percent from the field to post 15.3 points across three meetings.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (hamstring) will remain out of the lineup on Friday versus Washington. He last played on March 11 and will miss a 13th consecutive game due to a hamstring strain. Jabari Walker put in a monster performance on the glass as Grant's replacement in the starting unit on Wednesday versus Charlotte and should be a busy man again on Friday night. Washington has the league's lowest rebounding rate and the third-lowest defensive rating.Source: Portland Trail Blazers
2 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward Deni Avdija (migraine) will play against Portland on Friday. After leaving the previous game due to a migraine, he was initially listed as questionable on the injury report. With Kyle Kuzma (ankle) sidelined, Avdija should get extra usage offensively in a good matchup against one of the league's bottom-dwellers. Since the All-Star break, Avdija has pushed his productivity to 16.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies due to left knee recovery. After missing 29 games, the big man returned for two consecutive contests, leading the 76ers to victories. On Thursday, Embiid posted 29 points, four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal against the Heat. Philadelphia could be very shorthanded on Saturday, with Tyrese Maxey (hip), Tobias Harris (knee), and Mo Bamba (illness) also carrying questionable tags.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Keldon Johnson (foot) will remain on the shelf on Friday versus New Orleans. The team has downgraded him from questionable to out, meaning Johnson will be unavailable for a third consecutive game. There's no Devin Vassell (foot) either for San Antonio, so we should see Victor Wembanyama a lot with the ball. Malaki Branham and Julian Champagnie have a chance to step up offensively. The two combined for 35 points last time out against Denver.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoDallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic (knee) is now doubtful for Friday's contest against the Golden State Warriors. Doncic is still dealing with right knee soreness but has played in nine straight games. If the 25-year-old cannot suit up, Tim Hardaway, Jaden Hardy, and Dante Exum will likely see an uptick in minutes. Fantasy managers should explore other options at guard just in case the Mavericks star point guard is unavailable.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoGolden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II (ankle) has been listed as questionable on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks due to left ankle soreness. The 31-year-old has enjoyed the healthiest part of his season while missing only two games since the beginning of February. Payton hasn't seen heavy minutes this year, however, so his fantasy value is limited to some defensive stats and lower scoring numbers. If he doesn't play however, that would mean more minutes to go around for Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski who have served as solid streaming options given the right matchups.Source: Anthony Slater
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington (knee) will remain unavailable on Saturday versus Memphis. He hasn't seen any game action in 2024 and last played on December 30th. The 33-year-old was supposed to return to action a couple of weeks back, but his recovery from a left knee injury appears to be taking longer than expected. Nicolas Batum and Kenyon Martin Jr. have picked up extra minutes at the forward positions with Covington out. The two could get even more action on Saturday as Tobias Harris (knee) is listed as questionable.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoGolden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins (ankle) received a questionable tag on Friday while he deals with ankle soreness. The veteran wing hasn't enjoyed the same success this year as he has in recent seasons, but he still gets enough playing time to warrant spot starts in various league formats and even some DFS lineups. If he has to miss a game and Jonathan Kuminga (knee) also doesn't play, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Brandin Podziemski, and Moses Moody will all receive big minutes. Even if Kuminga does play while Wiggins is sidelined, all three should still see plenty of opportunities.Source: Anthony Slater
2 weeks agoGolden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (knee) has been listed as questionable on Friday due to tendonitis in his knee. The up-and-coming wing has played a big role in the team's success this season and the last time he played was the start of their current six-game win streak. In that game against the Miami Heat, he posted 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one block, and one turnover. If he's able to play against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, he could be a solid DFS option in his usual starting role. Trayce Jackson-Davis would be the one to move back to the bench if Kuminga does play.Source: Anthony Slater
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (groin) has been deemed available on Friday night and will make his return from a three-game absence due to an adductor strain. In that span, the Bucks went 1-2 without their superstar point guard. In his first game back, Lillard gets a good matchup against the Toronto Raptors, which makes him a must-start in all fantasy formats. With his return, Pat Connaughton usually would head back to the bench, but with Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) listed as doubtful, he may still get starter's minutes. Lillard and Bobby Portis will be two main options, though.Source: Chris Haynes
