2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) is questionable for Tuesday's clash with the Boston Celtics. The multi-time MVP has been in and out of the lineup over the last few weeks because of left hamstring tendinopathy. However, he was on the floor for Sunday's loss to the Knicks and finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, and two blocks. With Milwaukee in danger of sliding down the Eastern Conference standings, Antetokounmpo will likely suit up for the must-win contest. But if he can't play, Khris Middleton (quad) and Damian Lillard will be locks for all DFS lineups. Bobby Portis could also see a surge in fantasy production if Antetokounmpo isn't available.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris (knee) is questionable heading into Tuesday's game against the Pistons. The veteran has missed the Sixers' last three games because of a knee injury. But with a relatively easy matchup on the horizon, Harris could get another night off in preparation for the postseason. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Tyrese Maxey (hip) also on the injury report, Kelly Oubre Jr., Buddy Hield, and Paul Reed may find themselves as the top offensive options versus the 13-win Pistons.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's clash with the Pistons. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (knee) sidelined for Sunday's double-overtime win over the Spurs, Maxey took advantage, finishing with a career-high 52 points. But with the Sixers a lock to at least make the Play-In, he might not be on the floor on Tuesday, especially with a 13-win opponent on tap. With that said, if Maxey sits this one out, Cameron Payne and Kyle Lowry (knee) could split time at the one, although neither player is a dependable DFS option.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's meeting with the Pistons. The 76ers are at least guaranteed a Play-In spot, so the reigning MVP could miss another contest. Truth be told, Philly doesn't really need him versus the 13-win Pistons. But if Embiid is ruled out, Paul Reed would continue to receive additional interest from DFS managers. In addition, Tyrese Maxey (hip), coming off a 52-point showing on Sunday in the win over the Spurs, would be a popular fantasy option for all DFS contests, assuming he plays, if Embiid misses another contest.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoDetroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's meeting with the 76ers, suggesting he will play. He didn't suit up for Sunday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets because of a sprained left ankle. As a result, James Wiseman got the start but finished with only four points, five rebounds, and one steal. But now that Duren is expected to return on Tuesday, Wiseman won't see much interest from DFS managers. However, Chimezie Metu, averaging 13.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the last four games, could stay involved, even more so if Cade Cunningham (knee) misses another contest.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoDetroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the 76ers. He's missed the last three games because of left knee maintenance purposes. However, the Pistons have only four games left in their disastrous season, so the 22-year-old may not be back on the floor until the 2024-25 campaign. Of course, Cunningham's potential absence could allow Marcus Sasser, coming off an 18-point, six-assist showing on Sunday against Brooklyn, to remain relevant for fantasy managers. At the same time, Jaden Ivey, who took 21 shots versus the Nets, has a higher DFS ceiling than usual without Cunningham active.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoSteve Popper of Newsday has "heard whispers that New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson would be open to discussions to do [an extension] this summer." Brunson signed a four-year, $104 million contract with New York back during the 2022 offseason, and the Knicks could look to lock up the 27-year-old All-Star floor general on another long-term deal ahead of his 2025-26 player option. Brunson has put the team on his back during his second season in the Big Apple, most recently averaging 33.0 points, 7.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 2.8 three-pointers across his latest 14 appearances. Next up for the superstar playmaker is a rigid draw against the Chicago Bulls, who allow the second-fewest FanDuel points to opposing point guards. If lockdown defender Alex Caruso (ankle) ends up missing a second straight game, however, it would be a major boon to Brunson's matchup outlook.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Steve Popper - Newsday
Share:
2 weeks agoMiami Heat guard Terry Rozier (neck) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's tilt against the Atlanta Hawks. After being a late addition to the injury report before starting in Sunday's narrow road loss to the Indiana Pacers, Rozier remains a question mark due to neck spasms. Should the 30-year-old combo guard be unable to suit up for the Heat, Tyler Herro (foot), who's available on Tuesday, figures to be the most likely choice to reclaim his spot in Miami's starting backcourt at point guard. Before Rozier joined the Heat on Jan. 24, Herro averaged 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.2 three-pointers over his first 24 outings of the season. Herro is already a strong fantasy play against Atlanta, who rank 28th in the NBA in points allowed per game (120.3).--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: NBA.com
Share:
2 weeks agoMiami Heat center Bam Adebayo (hand) is listed as probable for Tuesday's contest against the Atlanta Hawks. Dealing with a sprained left hand, Adebayo is expected to play in a soft matchup against a Hawks team that ranks 27th in opponent field-goal percentage (49.3%) in 2023-24. In seven games versus Atlanta since 2022-23, the 26-year-old All-Star big man is banking 23.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.2 steals per contest. Assuming he's active on Tuesday's massive 14-game slate, Adebayo will be an appetizing DFS option at center.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: NBA.com
Share:
2 weeks agoThe NBA has fined the New York Knicks $25,000 for injury reporting rules violations regarding center Mitchell Robinson playing on March 27 versus the Toronto Raptors. After initially being listed as out for that game on the official injury report, Robinson was upgraded to questionable the morning of the contest before being made available to play. Based on the league's rules, the Knicks would've had to make such a change to the 26-year-old rim-protecting big man's status by 5 p.m. local time on the day before the game to avoid getting penalized. Through six appearances as a reserve for New York since returning from ankle surgery, Robinson is averaging just 3.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks while shooting a poor 36.8% from the free-throw line in 14.6 minutes. He won't be a recommended fantasy option in any formats for the final four outings of the campaign.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Stefan Bondy - New York Daily News
Share:
2 weeks agoOrlando Magic forward Franz Wagner (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Houston Rockets. After Wagner exited during the third quarter of Sunday's win over the visiting Chicago Bulls, an MRI confirmed a sprained right ankle following the contest. It's worth noting that Wagner missed eight games back in January due to the same injury, so the 46-32 Magic could opt to exercise caution with the 22-year-old former first-round pick with the playoffs on the horizon. Joe Ingles would be in line for an expanded role and uptick in fantasy value if Wagner can't play for Orlando on Tuesday, but the veteran sharpshooter averaged only 8.0 points, 4.0 assists. 1.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.0 three-pointers in four games without Wagner earlier in 2023-24. Houston is giving up the fourth-fewest DraftKings points to opposing small forwards as well.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Jason Beede - Orlando Sentinel
Share:
2 weeks agoThe Athletic's Shams Charania reports the Minnesota Timberwolves are optimistic that center Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) will play before the playoffs start. Towns participated in his first team scrimmage on Sunday since undergoing surgery to repair a torn left meniscus on March 12, and the West-leading T-Wolves hope the 28-year-old All-Star big man can ramp up his minutes ahead of the postseason. While Towns is set to be officially re-evaluated ahead of Tuesday's contest versus the Washington Wizards, he should still be considered doubtful for that one. Naz Reid is averaging 18.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 3.2 three-pointers, and 2.5 combined steals plus blocks over his last 11 games (all starts) and will continue starting alongside Rudy Gobert in Minnesota's frontcourt until Towns is ready to go. The Wizards are allowing more DraftKings points to opposing power forwards than any other this season.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Shams Charania - The Athletic
Share:
2 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey put his talents on full display on Sunday versus Charlotte, leading his squad to a 121-118 victory by recording his eighth career triple-double. Giddey scored 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting and picked up 13 rebounds and 13 assists, both of which were game-high marks. Two of Giddey's eight triple-doubles have come across the last five games. The versatile Australian has had his strongest stretch of the season lately, benefiting from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's (quadriceps) absence. The Thunder leader has missed six of the past seven games. Giddey has posted 19.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in seven games without Gilgeous-Alexander this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey had a career night with 52 points in Sunday's 133-126 double-overtime win against San Antonio. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (knee) out of the lineup, Maxey took full charge of the offense and finished the game with a whopping 41 shot attempts. He had 19 makes with a 2-for-10 record from downtown. Across 54 minutes of playing time, Maxey also tallied five rebounds, seven assists, and two steals while committing only one turnover. The young Sixers star is now tied for most 50-point games in the league this season, with this having been his third such effort. Embiid will likely be back on Tuesday versus Detroit, but Maxey should have a very strong finish to the regular season as Philadelphia desperately tries to lock down a top-six seed in the East.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard/forward Gradey Dick suffered a groin contusion in Sunday's meeting with Washington, exiting the game after logging 25 minutes of action. Dick was back on the bench Sunday but still performed well, posting 13 points and four rebounds with 3-for-5 shooting from deep. The 20-year-old rookie has been ever-present for Toronto since Jan. 20 but might now need to have some time off to recover. Bruce Brown and Ochai Agbaji should share most of Dick's minutes if he isn't in the lineup on Tuesday against Indiana. This will be a juicy fantasy matchup, as two up-tempo teams go head-to-head.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Eric Koreen
