2 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma (ankle) is listed as out for Tuesday's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves. With nothing to play for at this point, the 15-64 Wizards will keep Kuzma out of action for their third straight game due to his sprained right ankle. His next chance to play comes on Friday when Washington hosts the visiting Chicago Bulls. 2021 first-rounder Corey Kispert is shaping up as a "silly season" hero, providing 18.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 3.1 three-pointers per game through his last nine contests. Kispert should continue handling heavy minutes from the first unit, but it's a dismal matchup in a game with significant blowout risk against a T-Wolves team that's giving up the fewest DraftKings points to opposing shooting guards.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: NBA.com
Share:
2 weeks agoSacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (calf) is listed as available to play in Tuesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Left calf soreness will not keep Murray out on Tuesday, and the 23-year-old spot-up shooter is in a decent position against a Thunder team that ranks 23rd in three-pointers allowed per game (13.5). Murray's value is more pronounced in nine-category fantasy leagues that are still active, but he's still recording 16.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.9 three-pointers, and 1.7 combined steals plus blocks per game across his latest 13 appearances. Expect him to handle his usual allotment of minutes in Sacramento's starting lineup against OKC.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Jason Anderson - The Sacramento Bee
Share:
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (foot) did not warm up with the team during morning shootaround ahead of Tuesday's showdown with the Phoenix Suns. It places some doubt on Harden's status for the first leg of LA's back-to-back set with the Suns after he was dealing with a sore right foot leading into Sunday's narrow home win over the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers. If the 34-year-old All-Star ends up missing Tuesday's game, the Clippers' offense would center around Paul George with Kawhi Leonard (knee) already ruled out. Although Phoenix is allowing the sixth-fewest DraftKings points to opposing small forwards, PG-13 would be tough to fade in DFS while averaging 25.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 3.6 three-pointers over his last 14 appearances.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Law Murray - The Athletic
Share:
2 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams (ankle) was spotted at shootaround ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings. Sidelined for four consecutive games with a sprained left ankle, Williams is on the right track to return against the Kings on Tuesday. It's worth mentioning Williams was seen at the morning session prior to last Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers before getting ruled out, so sometimes shootaround statuses should be taken with a grain of salt. The 22-year-old two-way rising star is averaging 22.0 points, 5.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.1 three-pointers, and 2.6 combined steals plus blocks through his last seven games and would be an interesting DFS bet on Tuesday's huge 14-game slate if he is active against Sacramento, who are yielding the ninth-most points (22.0) to opposing small forwards in 2023-24.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Joel Lorenzi - The Oklahoman
Share:
2 weeks agoMiami Heat guard Terry Rozier (neck) did not go through shootaround, and he said he'll be a game-time decision for Tuesday's tilt versus the Atlanta Hawks. Rozier's absence from the morning session means he's on the wrong side of the questionable designation with neck spasms. If the 30-year-old combo guard is ultimately downgraded to out, head coach Erik Spoelstra could turn to Tyler Herro to fill the void in Miami's starting backcourt at the point. Prior to when Rozier joined the team on Jan. 24, Herro averaged 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.2 three-pointers as the Heat's primary ball handler across his first 24 games of the year. Herro is going to be a strong DFS play whether Rozier is available or not, as the Hawks are allowing the second-most threes (3.4) to opposing point guards this season.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Anthony Chiang - Miami Herald
Share:
2 weeks agoDetroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (knee), who remains listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, participated in the morning shootaround. The last-place Pistons have no reason to push their franchise cornerstone onto the court, but Cunningham's presence at the session bodes well for his ability to suit up for Detroit despite being listed with left knee injury management on Tuesday. Over his last 11 appearances, the 22-year-old star playmaker is averaging 24.8 points, 7.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 1.9 three-pointers. The Sixers are giving up the fifth-fewest points (22.9) and fourth-fewest threes (2.6) to opposing point guards, though.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBallerSource: Natalie Kerwin - Bally Sports Detroit
Share:
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will skip a fifth consecutive game on Tuesday versus Denver. He's battling back spasms and will get his next chance to return on Thursday against Houston. Utah is also currently without the services of Walker Kessler (nose), which has given Omer Yurtseven an opportunity to make back-to-back starts. Meanwhile, Darius Bazley and Johnny Juzang have gotten heavy usage off the bench. All three could offer fantasy value on Tuesday, although it's a very tough matchup for the struggling Jazz squad.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (knee) is listed as probable for Tuesday's contest against the Jazz. He's landed on the injury report with right knee tendinopathy. Porter Jr. has missed just one game all season, and it looks like he will be good to go for a favorable matchup. The Jazz have the worst defensive rating in the league, and it's going to be a significant pace-up spot for Denver. Vegas has set the total for the game at 226.0 points, which is one of the highest marks on Tuesday's very busy slate.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray (knee) is expected to play against Utah on Tuesday. The team has listed him as probable on the injury report. Murray has just returned from a seven-game absence. He posted 16 points, three rebounds, six assists, and a block in 21 minutes against Atlanta on Saturday after knee inflammation kept him sidelined for a couple of weeks. Murray could see limited action again on Tuesday, but he's in a good spot to make damage. Utah gives up the most assists per 48 minutes to point guards and is currently even more vulnerable on the backcourt due to the absence of defensive specialist Kris Dunn (foot).--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma (ankle) finds himself with a questionable tag ahead of Tuesday's encounter with the Timberwolves. He's played in just one of the past five games, landing on the shelf with a right ankle sprain. Jordan Poole and Deni Avdija have a bigger role on offense without Kuzma. Meanwhile. Corey Kispert has started to see a lot of extra action, reaching the 40-minute plateau three times in the past five games. He's finally found consistency lately, becoming a reliable fantasy option by averaging 19.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists with 3.3 three-pointers through the first few games of the month.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) has been ruled out for a third consecutive game as the team gears up to meet San Antonio on Tuesday. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is nursing a right quadriceps injury. Santi Aldama (foot) is also on the shelf, resulting in big minutes to the likes of Trey Jemison, Maozinha Pereira, and GG Jackson II. Brandon Clarke also benefits in the situation, although his minutes are closely monitored following his comeback from an Achilles tear. However, Clarke has been productive when on the court, tallying 10.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks. Memphis' big men face a difficult challenge against Victor Wembanyama on Tuesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard/forward Desmond Bane (back) will be absent for a sixth consecutive game on Tuesday versus the Spurs. He's dealing with a lumbar disc bulge, leaving the keys to the backcourt to Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jordan Goodwin. Both players have been good fantasy producers lately, and Pippen Jr. is fresh off a career night. The 23-year-old totaled 24 points, five assists, and two steals in 30 minutes against Philadelphia on Sunday. Bane's injury also means more shooting opportunities for GG Jackson II.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Keldon Johnson (foot) will once again come out of the lineup on Tuesday against Memphis. He returned from a three-game absence against Philadelphia on Sunday but injured his left foot in the contest. With Cedi Osman (ankle) also unavailable, Sandro Mamukelashvili could find himself back with the starters. He had his first start of the season against New Orleans last week and played well. Across 27 minutes, Mamukelashvili notched 15 points, five rebounds, two steals, a steal, and a block in a fairly difficult matchup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Jalen Williams (ankle) has been listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's matchup against Sacramento. He's missed the past four games with a left ankle sprain. Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault has tested several players in a starting role during Williams' absence, including Gordon Hayward (leg). He won't be able to go back to Hayward on Tuesday as he has been ruled out for the contest. Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe will continue to have extra fantasy value if Williams can't play. If he is able to return, the 22-year-old will find himself in a good matchup against a team that likes to run but can't defend.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Coby White (ankle) has been listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks. He injured his left ankle in a meeting with New York last week but logged 38 minutes on Sunday versus Orlando and doesn't appear to be seriously hurt. White has had an outstanding campaign and should relish the opportunity to test his talents against the Knicks' star point guard, Jalen Brunson. He faces a team that's allowed the fourth-fewest points in the league to point guards, but opposing ones have been getting high assists numbers all year against Tom Thibodeau's squad.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
