1 week agoBoston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (ankle) had a stellar game in Sunday's win over the Washington Wizards. The C's were down Jaylen Brown (ankle), Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring), and Derrick White (hand). As a result, the door was open for others to get more involved. While Jayson Tatum stuffed the stat sheet, as expected, Hauser amassed a career-high 30 points, shooting an efficient 10-for-13 from behind the arc. Unfortunately, his afternoon ended after just 23 minutes because of a sprained left ankle. Head coach Joe Mazzulla reported Hauser underwent X-rays. However, the team is still awaiting the results. But even if imaging comes back clean, fantasy managers likely won't see Hauser on the floor when Boston meets Detroit on Monday. That said, it's hard to tell who will benefit until the club releases an updated injury report heading into Monday evening.Source: Bobby Krivitsky
1 week agoNew York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (elbow) has drawn another questionable tag ahead of Monday night. Initially, there were some reports about the team taking it easy on Anunoby during his first few games or so, but that hasn't been the case yet. In his first three games back, he's played 28, 35, and 33 minutes respectively. He originally popped up as questionable ahead of their last game but ended up playing a full game. One thing about head coach Tom Thibodeau is that he's going to play his starters heavy minutes. If Anunoby isn't experiencing any setbacks and suits up, fantasy managers can expect him to play a normal workload. If he sits out, Donte DiVincenzo will take on a bigger role while Bojan Bogdanovic and Precious Achiuwa will see added opportunities.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoBrooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas had another splendid outing despite his team losing in overtime to the Spurs on Sunday night. Thomas logged 39 minutes, scoring 31 points. He added five assists and demonstrated his defensive acumen by amassing two steals. The 22-year-old has significantly increased his production from last season and is currently a Most Improved Player of the Year candidate heading toward the offseason. Thomas has had trouble staying healthy, which has slightly lowered his fantasy value, and his shot selection isn't always the best. However, he'll see more attention from fantasy managers heading into the 2024-25 campaign, whether he's still in Brooklyn or playing elsewhere.Source: ESPN
1 week agoSan Antonio Spurs forward/center Victor Wembanyama had another historic outing in Sunday's overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets. The 2023 No. 1 overall finished the contest with a double-double, amassing 33 points and 16 rebounds. He added seven assists and seven blocks. Wenbanyama is easily the favorite to finish the season as the Rookie of the Year award winner. Defensive Player of the Year is also a strong possibility. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old has had a fantastic season, and he'll likely enter the 2024-25 campaign as a top-five fantasy option in any format.Source: ESPN
1 week agoUtah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (groin) has been ruled out of a third consecutive game. He will miss the Monday contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves while he continues to deal with a right groin strain. Groin strains seem to be up there with the injuries that linger the most like hamstring issues. On top of that, the Jazz aren't competing for the playoffs, so they don't have a reason to rush Clarkson back to action. The youth movement has been going strong for the Jazz and they'll continue to get the bulk of the minutes while Clarkson is sidelined. Keyonte George, Kris Dunn, and Collin Sexton have all been solid streaming options in the meantime.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoUtah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (quad) has been tagged as questionable ahead of their Monday night contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 26-year-old hasn't played since March 2 due to a right quadriceps contusion. After being named an All-Star last season for the first time, Markkanen was building upon that with another fantastic season this year but continues to have some health issues that keep him off of the court. Due to the health issues with the entire team, the Jazz have leaned in even more to the youth movement. If Markkanen has to be sidelined again, Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh will both likely remain in the starting five.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Matisse Thybulle (ankle) is listed as questionable against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Due to the high amount of injuries that this team has faced this season, Thybulle has been playing a lot more than he did the previous year. Two members of the backcourt have already been ruled out and Jerami Grant (hamstring) is currently doubtful. That means if Thybulle does play, he'd likely see north of 20 minutes in this contest. If he misses his second consecutive game, however, Dalano Banton, Scoot Henderson, and Jabari Walker would all see extra minutes on the floor.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (hamstring) has received a doubtful status on the injury report for Monday night. The veteran wing is still suffering from a strained right hamstring that seems to be too painful to take the court just yet. There's a very small chance he plays if the hamstring isn't giving him any issues during shootaround and the lead-up to tip-off. Since he's most likely to miss this contest, however, Toumani Camara and Kris Murray are the better candidates for playing time. They both present a lot of risk as streaming options, but there aren't many surefire fantasy assets on this Blazers team right now.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon (elbow) has been ruled out for the Monday night game against the Chicago Bulls. The veteran point guard has been making progress and ramping up to more work at practice each day, but he still doesn't have a timetable to return. At this rate, the team won't be rushing him back to play in games that won't matter at the end of the day. While he remains on the sidelines, Dalano Banton and Scoot Henderson should keep seeing added opportunities in the backcourt alongside Anfernee Simons. Banton may have the best value as a streaming option since he joined the starting five instead of Henderson.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Norman Powell (leg) is out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The 30-year-old's injury occurred in Friday's 112-104 loss to New Orleans. Powell had missed just one game this season before being announced as unavailable before Sunday's tilt. If the former Toronto Raptors guard should miss an extended period of time, Amir Coffey and Brandon Boston could see an uptick in minutes in the Clippers rotation.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoLos Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (shoulder) is available for Sunday's tilt with the Atlanta Hawks. The 34-year-old has been dealing with a left shoulder strain and has missed the last two games. Before being injured, Harden averaged 17.8 points, 8.6 assists, and 5.4 rebounds in 36.0 minutes per game across five contests. Bones Hyland played 24 minutes on Friday against New Orleans. However, with Harden's return, Hyland will see his minutes reduced on Sunday.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Monte Morris (hamstring) is questionable for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. The 28-year-old has dealt with hamstring soreness but returned on Saturday after missing three straight contests. If available, Minnesota will likely continue to take a conservative approach with the 28-year-old, who played just 10 minutes and scored two points on Saturday. Should Morris suit up, he will not factor into fantasy play, as he is averaging 4.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across 18 games this season.Source: Timberwolves PR
1 week agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (rib) is listed as questionable for Monday's tilt versus the Utah Jazz. The big man didn't suit up Saturday and may be out for a second straight game. Naz Reid is a fantasy option at center if Gobert is unable to go. He stepped up in Gobert's absence on Saturday, recording 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in 36 minutes on the court.Source: Timberwolves PR
1 week agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson (shoulder) is questionable for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. Anderson suited up Saturday against the Jazz, spending 31 minutes on the court while posting four points, five rebounds, nine assists, one block, and two steals. He was also listed as questionable on Saturday but was able to suit up. The 30-year-old has been in the Timberwolves lineup 64 of 67 games this season.Source: Timberwolves PR
1 week agoChicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso (toe) is questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Caruso has been dealing with left-toe soreness and several minor injuries throughout the season. However, going into Monday, the 30-year-old played in nine consecutive contests. The veteran guard has been an average asset in fantasy play, but he has been hot in the previous three games, averaging 18.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.0 steals on 55.3 percent shooting.Source: NBA Injury Report
