The 29-year-old was a 2016 second-round pick by the Tennessee Titans and has also spent time with the New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers. Through his first 116 NFL games, Johnson has accumulated 241 tackles, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, ten passes defended, and 15.5 run stuffs. He's far from a star at the position, but he will bring depth to wherever he ends up signing.

1 month agoThe Baltimore Ravens signed free-agent cornerback Ka'Dar Hollman to an undisclosed deal on Friday. Hollman spent the 2023 season with the Houston Texans and had 10 tackles (six solo) and a fumble recovery in 17 regular-season games (one start). The 29-year-old defensive back was drafted in the sixth round in 2019 by the Green Bay Packers out of Toledo. In his first two NFL seasons with Green Bay, Hollman had seven solo tackles and three passes defended in 18 games played (one start). He primarily has operated on special teams in his career and is expected to have a similar role for the Ravens in 2024.

1 month agoThe Los Angeles Chargers agreed to terms on an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday with former Tennessee Titans free-agent cornerback Kristian Fulton (hamstring), according to sources. Apparently Fulton is healthy now after ending last year on Injured Reserve due to a hamstring injury. Hamstring and groin injuries kept Fulton out of six games with the Titans in 2023. Injuries plagued his four years in Tennessee, as he missed 23 games, and he finished last year without an interception and with only five passes defended. When healthy, the 25-year-old is a willing tackler against the run and has the versatility to play the nickel and outside cornerback spots. If he can stay healthy in 2024, he could put himself in line for a bigger payday in 2025.

1 month agoFree-agent offensive tackle Matt Nelson agreed to an undisclosed deal with the New York Giants on Thursday, according to the team. Nelson spent the first five seasons of his career with the Detroit Lions, appearing in 43 games (14 starts) after latching on as an undrafted free agent in 2019 out of Iowa. Eleven of his 14 career starts came in 2021 in Detroit, but he also started two games at right tackle last September before landing on Injured Reserve due to an ankle injury. Nelson is going to serve as offensive-line depth in New York, but the Giants have made a concerted effort to upgrade their O-line from top to bottom this offseason after they were one of the worst and most injured groups in the NFL a season ago.

1 month agoThe Las Vegas Raiders re-signed safety Isaiah Pola-Mao to an undisclosed deal on Thursday. The Raiders are bringing Pola-Mao back after he spent the last two years in Sin City. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2022 out of USC. In his first two years in the NFL, the 24-year-old defensive back has only 40 tackles (28 solo), two sacks and an interception in 27 games played (zero starts). Pola-Mao has mostly been a special teams contributor in his first two NFL campaigns, although he did pick up his first career interception for the Raiders on defense last year. Don't expect him to suddenly become a big contributor at safety for Vegas in 2024.

1 month agoFree-agent cornerback C.J. Henderson signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the Houston Texans on Thursday, according to a league source. The former ninth overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020 out of Florida spent just one year with the Jags before playing for the Carolina Panthers since 2021. The 25-year-old hasn't lived up to his draft status at all, recording 172 total tackles (139 solo), one sack, six tackles for loss, three interceptions, 16 passes defended, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 49 games played (32 starts) in his four NFL seasons. Henderson is obviously nowhere near the fantasy radar in IDP leagues and should fill a reserve role in Houston's secondary in 2024.

Isaiah Hodgins to an undisclosed deal. Hodgins will return to New York for his second full season. The former sixth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2020 out of Oregon State joined the G-Men midway through the 2022 season and had 33 catches for 351 yards and four touchdowns in eight games (five starts) to close out the year. In 17 games (nine starts) for the Giants in 2023, Hodgins disappointed, as did most of the rest of the team's offense, with 21 catches on 33 targets for 230 yards and three touchdowns. The 25-year-old has shown flashes the last two years with the Giants, but he's not going to have a big enough role on offense in 2024 to warrant fantasy consideration, especially with the team adding
Isaiah McKenzie this offseason.

1 month agoThe NFL is leaving the "tush push" as a legal play for the 2024 season. NFL executive Troy Vincent said on Thursday that there will not be any proposal presented this offseason to ban the play for next season. "The Eagles," Vincent said on a conference call, "do it well." The Eagles offense ran the trending short-yardage play way more successfully than any other team in the NFL, although it will be interesting to see if that continues in 2024 after center Jason Kelce retired. The news that the league won't ban the play is excellent news for quarterback
Jalen Hurts' fantasy value as an elite, high-end QB1 in fantasy, as it will continue to allow him to cash in on goal-line, tush-push touchdown sneaks.

Odell Beckham Jr. went well on Thursday, according to a team source. The Dolphins were pleased with how the meeting went and hope to sign Beckham. The 31-year-old former 12th overall pick by the New York Giants in 2014 out of LSU won't return to Baltimore after he caught 35 of his 64 targets for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 regular-season games (six starts) in 2023. Moving to Miami's high-scoring offense would be good for OBJ's production, but he'd still be at least a distant third on the receiving pecking order behind
Tyreek Hill and
Jaylen Waddle. Beckham had five 1,000-yard seasons in his first six NFL seasons, but then the injuries hit. He'd be more intriguing from a fantasy perspective if he lands in Miami but only as a boom/bust option in deeper leagues.

Audric Estime is an intriguing prospect in this April's draft class, but his 4.71 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine was a concerning sign for his stock. However, NFL scouts clocked him between a 4.56 and 4.59 40-time at the school's Pro Day. While most NFL teams might rely on the laser time at the combine, his improved run can only help his status and draft value. Estime rushed 210 times for 1,341 yards and caught 17 passes for 142 yards in 2023 to go along with 18 total touchdowns in his final season with the Irish. The 221-pounder is a physical runner with burst and strength, but his speed concerns could make him fall into the late rounds next month. He will likely be a second or third-round selection in upcoming rookie dynasty drafts.

Cam Sutton on Thursday, the team announced on X. According to NFL insider Albert Breer, Sutton has been sought for two weeks by police in Florida to answer for domestic violence allegations. The 29-year-old was originally a third-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017 and spent his entire career there before being signed by Detroit last season. It appears he will need to go through the legal process, and the serious allegations against him have the potential to end his time on the gridiron.

Pierre entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic in 2020 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and spent the last four seasons in the Steel City.
