2 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Schroder (Achilles) won't play on Sunday versus the 76ers. The journeyman has played well since his trade to Brooklyn ahead of the deadline, averaging 14.6 points and 6.0 assists while shooting a career-high 41.2% from behind the arc. Schroder wants to remain a Net, so this may not be his final game with the team. But with Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) also sidelined for the regular season-finale, Jacob Gilyard may draw another start. However, Lonnie Walker IV, who had 15 points in Friday's loss to the New York Knicks, should be the guy to target for DFS purposes.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (toe) won't play on Sunday against Philadelphia. The Nets have one game left on their schedule before calling it a year. However, Johnson won't be on the floor to close out the 2023-24 campaign, which isn't surprising to anyone. Along with Johnson, the Nets won't have Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) and Day'Ron Sharpe (wrist) near the basket. As a result, Noah Clowney, Jalen Wilson, and Trendon Watford could remain heavily involved, especially since Nicolas Claxton might see fewer minutes than usual throughout a meaningless contest for Brooklyn.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's final regular season game against the Charlotte Hornets. He is dealing with a low back contusion, and the Cavaliers will likely take the cautious approach and let him rest. Both Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Caris LeVert (knee) will be sidelined in this game, as Cleveland is making sure their backcourt is healthy for the playoffs. Garland is a critical piece of the rotation, and he will need to play at a high level if the Cavaliers wish to make a deep postseason run this year.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard Derrick White (ankle) is out for Sunday's season finale with the Washington Wizards. Fantasy managers should expect the 29-year-old to be available for the playoffs. The entire Celtics starting five is unavailable, plus Al Horford (toe) has been ruled out. Payton Pritchard will run the backcourt for now, while Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk will see more time on the court.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (knee) will not play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Charlotte Hornets. He is listed as out because of left knee injury management. The Cavaliers are playing it safe with their star guard and are turning their attention toward the playoffs. Caris LeVert (knee) will also be sidelined, while Darius Garland (back) is listed as doubtful. Mitchell closes the 2023-2024 regular season with averages of 26.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. He is expected to lead the Cleveland when the postseason begins, and if they plan to advance through multiple rounds of the Eastern Conference, they will need him to perform at his best.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Caris LeVert (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He will sit out this contest because of left knee soreness. With the playoffs approaching, Cleveland is prioritizing their team's health. Donovan Mitchell (knee) will also be sidelined, while Darius Garland (back) is considered doubtful, so it remains to be seen who will lead the backcourt in the regular season finale. Once the playoffs begin, LeVert will be relied upon as a crucial piece of the Cavaliers' rotation and will need to play well if they hope to make a deep postseason run.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Detroit Pistons due to right ankle injury management. As the Spurs sit near the bottom of the Western Conference standings, they will let their young superstar rest. The prized rookie will end his season on a high note after collecting 34 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists in a thrilling victory over the defending champion Denver Nuggets on Friday. Wembanyama is the heavy favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award after a sensational first NBA season. Zach Collins (thumb) is questionable to play, and if he ends up sitting out, too, Sandro Mamukelashvili will likely see as many minutes as he can handle in the season finale.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) is out for Sunday's season finale against the Denver Nuggets. This will be his sixth straight game on the sidelines because of a left knee injury. The Grizzlies have been ravaged by injuries all season long, and they will continue to rely on a group of young players for their final game of the season. Fantasy managers can expect GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. to lead the backcourt.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) is set to miss the final regular season game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday. This will be the eighth consecutive game he will be sidelined because of right knee inflammation. The injury concerns continue for Leonard, and it is a mystery if he will be able to play in the first round of the playoffs. The Clippers clinched the fourth seed in the Western Conference and have nothing to play for in Sunday's contest, so they very well could rest other players or limit the minutes of their starters. P.J. Tucker, Amir Coffey, and Brandon Boston Jr. are all potential options to see a heavier workload as the regular season comes to an end.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Vince Williams Jr. (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale with the Nuggets. Williams Jr. will miss his 17th consecutive game with tendonitis in his left patellar tendon. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jordan Goodwin could be solid DFS options and will see many extra minutes with most of the Grizzlies roster sitting out Sunday.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (foot) is considered questionable for Sunday's contest against the Houston Rockets because of right foot inflammation. It would not be surprising to see the Clippers play it safe and rest their veteran guard, as Los Angeles is already locked into the fourth seed in the Western Conference. Even if Harden does suit up, his playing time might be limited. The 34-year-old took the court on Friday against the Utah Jazz but ended up seeing 10 minutes of action. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Sunday to get final confirmation on Harden's playing status.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis (eye) is listed as probable for Sunday's regular-season finale with New Orleans. AD has not only been dealing with an eye injury, but he also missed time because of an illness. However, he suited up Friday against Memphis and posted 36 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in 43 minutes, helping the Lakers move up to the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. The Lakers can clinch the No. 8 seed with a win in Sunday's regular-season finale, so AD and the other starters will see plenty of extra minutes in New Orleans.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls center Andre Drummond (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Knicks. The veteran sprained his ankle when these clubs met on Tuesday and has missed Chicago's previous two contests. The team hopes to have him back for the Play-In. However, there's the possibility that Drummond won't be on the floor for the Bulls again this season. As of Saturday afternoon, Nikola Vucevic isn't listed on the injury report after resting on Friday in the win over the Orlando Magic. But if Vucevic doesn't suit up, Adama Sanogo, coming off a 22-point, 20-rebound showing, would see plenty of interest from DFS Managers.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls forward Javonte Green is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Knicks. There's nothing wrong with him. Instead, head coach Billy Donovan might give him the afternoon off to rest in preparation for Chicago's upcoming Play-In contest. As of this writing, Coby White, Nikola Vucevic, and DeMar DeRozan aren't listed on the injury report after missing Friday's win over Orlando to rest. Yet, they certainly may get held out, meaning the door would be open for Dalen Terry, Jevon Carter, and Adama Sanogo to see a surge in DFS interest for the regular-season finale.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu (quadriceps) is questionable for Sunday's game in New York. He missed the Bulls' previous three contests because of a quad contusion. But with Chicago locked into a Play-In spot, there's a good chance he'll sit for a fourth. As of Saturday afternoon, DeMar DeRozan, Coby White, and Nikola Vucevic aren't listed on the injury report after sitting out on Friday. However, they may be held off the floor for the regular-season finale, meaning guys like Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry, combining for 37 points in Friday's win over Orlando, would automatically enter the DFS value conversation.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
