6/12:That makes three straight games that Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval has been held out of the lineup. Sandoval has struggled mightily this season in all aspects of the game. Sandoval has been unproductive at the plate, batting just .205 with four home runs and 12 RBI. He has often been a liability on the defensive side of the ball as well. Health has also been a concern for the third baseman, as he has already missed over a month to injury early this year. Infielder Josh Rutledge has seen additional playing time as a result of Sandoval’s struggles. Manager John Farrell already said he prefers to keep Sandoval on the bench when Boston is starting a left-hander, and the majority of their pitches are southpaws, so that doesn't bode well for the Panda's playing time moving forward. He's even a questionable player to roster in AL-only leagues at this point.--Jared T - RotoBaller
