11/18:The Baltimore Orioles are interested in St. Louis Cardinals free-agent starting pitcher Lance Lynn among other free-agent starters, according to a source. However, Baltimore is believed to have a preference for Tampa Bay Rays free-agent starter Alex Cobb because of his experience pitching in the American League East. Lynn, who will turn 31 next May, went 11-8 with a 3.43 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 153 strikeouts in 186 1/3 innings for the Red Birds. He'll be an attractive starter as a fallback option to some of the more high-priced free-agent starters on the market, although his velocity wasn't the same after missing all of 2016 due to Tommy John surgery. A move to hitter-friendly Camden Yards and the tough AL East wouldn't be a great landing spot for Lynn to continue improving, though.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
