9/26:New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday’s 27-24 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Prior to the injury, Vernon recorded five tackles, one sack and one quarterback hit; the 26-year-old pass-rusher logged 60 defensive snaps before exiting the tilt. Head coach Ben McAdoo remained vague in regard to Vernon’s health, saying “It’s still early in the week. We have to see how he responds to treatment.” Vernon will undergo more tests when the team returns to East Rutherford on Monday. The G-Men D/ST is a high-risk stream against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, regardless of Vernon’s health.--Michael Swindells - RotoBaller
