Nyheim Hines 2020 Outlook: Pass-Catching Role Should Give Him Late-Round Appeal In PPR Leagues
5 years agoNyheim Hines falls to third on the running back depth chart heading into 2020 after the Colts drafted Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin. But while many might consider that a death sentence in fantasy, Hines is still expected to have a role in head coach Frank Reich's offense as the pass-catching back. That could mesh well with aging QB Philip Rivers, too, as the former Charger hooked up with pass-catching back Austin Ekeler a whopping 92 times in 2019. Hines won't see much work on early downs after rushing the ball only 52 times last season, but he does have 107 receptions for 745 yards (seven yards per catch) in his two seasons. The 23-year-old shouldn't be left for dead and is a fine late-round target for depth in PPR leagues.
