5 months agoDetroit Tigers utility man Niko Goodrum will return to the starting lineup Thursday after missing one day with a right pinky injury. The 27-year-old suffered the injury during batting practice after taking a pitch to his hand. Goodrum later underwent X-rays which came back negative and he's back in the lineup. For the season, the three-year veteran is batting .242 with seven home runs and 30 RBI. Against the Cleveland Indians, the Georgia native will bat ninth and start at first base. This season, Goodrum has started at least one game in every position besides catcher and pitcher.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
