Nicolas Batum 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoCharlotte Hornet shooting guard/small forward Nicolas Batum could be one of fantasy basketball’s most frustrating players over the past handful of seasons. Batum has all the tools to be a fantasy stud but just has not reached his potential due to injuries and inconsistent shooting from the floor. Batum had a down year last season as he struggled with an elbow injury as he averaged just 11.6 points, 5.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds on rough 41.5% from the floor. With the Hornets loaded at the at the two-guard spot (Jeremy Lamb, Malik Monk, and rookie J.P. Macura) and the possibility of the Hornets looking to rebuild if this season does not go as planned, we could even see the French National player in a different uniform come season’s end. Think long and hard about Batum as you never quite know what you will get out of him once the season begins.
