Nick Chubb 2022 Outlook: Talented Runner A Solid RB2
3 years agoCleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has topped 1,000 rushing yards in each of the past three seasons, but his season-high for receptions over that span is 36. Chubb remains one of the best pure runners in the league and runs behind an excellent offensive line, but his upside is capped by a limited role in the team's passing attack. Chubb has shown to be adequate at catching the ball but he consistently loses passing-down snaps and targets to Kareem Hunt. There were rumors that the Browns would move on from Hunt this offseason but they appear set to keep the third-down back in the fold for 2022. Chubb is a rock-solid RB2 in fantasy leagues but his lack of work in the passing game prevents him from taking a run at finishing as a top-three running back in fantasy. He is getting drafted as a late first-round pick in PPR leagues, a price that is a bit rich for what he will bring to the table in 2022.
