7/16:While Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Francisco Liriano struggled again on Saturday, turns out a medical reason may be playing a role. Liriano was lit up for five runs over two innings pitched against the Detroit Tigers, but was lifted due to neck and back tightness and not necessarily poor production (although he couldn’t have lasted much longer anyway). Liriano told the media on Sunday that he is unsure if he’ll be healthy enough to make his next start, though Toronto seems to be taking it day-by-day with him considering they haven’t played him on the 10-day disabled list (yet). For fantasy purposes, this should be all for naught. Liriano hasn’t been good all year, healthy or not, and even if he didn’t have a scratch he’s not worth owning even in 14 team leagues right now.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
