Montrezl Harrell 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers power forward/center Montrezl Harrell provided a breakout season for the Clippers last year. Harrell lit up stat sheets with averages of 16.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 0.9 steals while shooting a blistering 61.5% from the floor. His mark on the line is not great (64.3% on 5.0 attempts a night), but he has shown a slight improvement from the free-throw line throughout his career year by year. With the additions of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, we should see Harrell getting even more open looks while diving to the basket off of dishes out of double teams from their two superstars. Harrell does not need plays written up for him as he gets most of his shots around the basket and with the addition of the Leonard and George, we should not see Harrell’s production take much of a hit at all. He will play the five in the Clips small-ball lineups and he will continue to be Sixth Man Of The Year discussions come season’s end.
