Mohamed Bamba 2018-2019 Player Outlook
6 years agoThe Orlando Magic's obsession with size and wingspan led them to take Texas center Mohamed Bamba in the first round of this year's NBA Draft. Bamba was a shot-blocking machine for the Longhorns last season, recording 111 blocks in 30 games. That's a skill that should translate to the NBA game. Bamba also attempted 51 three pointers in his lone collegiate season, suggesting that the seven-foot big man can have an inside-outside impact for the Magic at some point. He might be too raw to count on early in the season, but fantasy owners should keep their eyes on Bamba as the season winds along. With Orlando entering the season with barely any playoff hopes, the team should feel encouraged to give Bamba plenty of opportunities.
