Minkah Fitzpatrick 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Looking Forward To Another Season As Elite DB
1 year agoIt might be hard for Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to lead the league in interceptions two years in a row, but if there's anyone who can do it, it might be him. Fitzpatrick has the sixth-most interceptions since 2019. He has had multiple interceptions every season of his five-year career, and he had five or more interceptions three times. He has returned four interceptions for touchdowns. Interceptions are sexy for defensive backs, but they are hard to predict. Tackles, however, are more stable, and Fitzpatrick is also extremely good at making tackles year after year. In four of his five seasons, he has made over 70 combined tackles. With 96, last season was his second-best year yet, but he made 124 tackles the year before. In 2023, his interception total might decrease, but he could very well make more solo tackles to even out his IDP fantasy scoring.
