Michael Lorenzen Can’t Log Win Despite Strong Display
4 months agoDetroit Tigers right-handed pitcher Michael Lorenzen launched 6.2 innings against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. He surrendered zero earned runs and punched out four batters for an unfortunate no-decision in the team's 7-3 win. The former two-way player lowered his ERA to 3.50 and his WHIP to 1.10 with the positive showing. Lorenzen has been volatile in 2023, but he's permitted one run or fewer in five of his eight starts. The 31-year-old's fastball velocity is up a tad from last season, making him a usable streaming option in favorable matchups. That could be the case for a rematch with the ChiSox on Friday.
