8/11:Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer (elbow) could return from the disabled list to start against the Texas Rangers on Monday after he threw a bullpen session Friday. That means that Drew VerHagen's short stint in the rotation is coming to an end. Fulmer last pitched against the Yankees on July 31 when he allowed six earned runs in six innings when he was likely affected by his injury. He appears to be returning after a short stay on the disabled list and will return to a 10-9 record, 3.59 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 6.4 K/9 in 21 starts (140 1/3 innings). After winning the American League Rookie of the Year in 2016, Fulmer has backed that up with a very solid sophomore campaign and has been a must-start for most of the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
