3/17:Melvin Upton Jr. had a decent day on Thursday against the Yankees, but continues to struggle overall this spring. He finished 1-for-2 yesterday with a RBI, a walk, but was caught stealing on his only attempt. He’s hitting .174 with a .208 OBP and disgusting .513 OPS this spring while picking up two runs scored, two RBI, and a home run. After Upton’s putrid second half last year after being dealt to Toronto, it would be nice to see him pick things up before the regular season starts. He’s a tough player to trust to get going, but if he does there’s no denying his skillset is an extremely desirable one for fantasy owners.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
