3 weeks agoWashington Nationals starter Max Scherzer will take the mound for the Nationals first World Series game in franchise history on Tuesday night against the Astros. The Nationals ace has been fantastic in the playoffs this season, going 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP with 27 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched. He even has come out of the bullpen and has delivered and will look to continue his epic postseason against the Astros. Scherzer was better on the road this season that at home, going 7-2 with a 2.64 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP in 12 regular season road starts. The impending pitching duel between Scherzer and the Astros Gerrit Cole is as good as it gets heading into Game 1.--Joey C - RotoBaller
