Matthew Tkachuk Registers First Career Hat Trick
5 years agoCalgary Flames left-winger Matthew Tkachuk buried a trio of goals to lead his team to a 6-3 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday. The 21-year-old also added a helper, a plus-three rating and three shots on goal in 15:22 of ice time in the contest. Not only did Tkachuk earn his first career hat trick, his big performance ended a rough 20-game stretch in which the second-year pest had recorded just two goals. Luckily for Tkachuk fantasy owners, the Arizona born-winger finds a way to contribute in other categories even when he's not lighting the lamp - as displayed by his 38 assists, 58 penalty minutes, 24 power-play points and 81 hits in 2018-2019. Considering Tkachuk's next goal will give him 30 tallies on the campaign, fantasy owners will likely want to re-insert him in starting lineups in his next contest with the Devils on Tuesday.
