12/16:Atlanta Braves outfielder Matt Kemp was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, first reported by Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. First baseman Adrian Gonzalez, pitcher Scott Kazmir, pitcher Brandon McCarthy outfielder Charlie Culberson and cash will be headed back to Atlanta, according to Rosenthal. This is a puzzling trade from Atlanta's perspective, as Gonzalez is being designated for assigment and the Braves were looking to get younger in the rotation but added pitchers in their 30s. This is a strong move for Los Angeles. Kemp will fill a void in the outfield for the National League Champions and will put the team under the luxury tax for 2018. The 32-year-old Kemp played for the Dodgers for nine seasons and had a .781 OPS last season.--Chris Zolli - RotoBaller
