7/17:On a day where fellow rotationmate Noah Syndergaard started throwing again, New York Mets starting pitcher Matt Harvey has begun a throwing program. He’s likely not close to returning anytime soon, we’re probably looking at a return at some point in August. Thus far, Harvey had been trying to rebuild strength in his right shoulder when doctors figured out the muscles behind his shoulder had atrophied after undergoing thoracic outlet surgery last year. Regardless of his injury progress, it’s tough to trust that you’ll get any production out of him this year. If you have the room on your disabled list then by all means, but we can’t fault you for cutting bait.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
