3 years agoQuarterback Matt Barkley may have to settle for another gig as a backup in 2017 as he proved less than capable under center for the Bears this season. In seven games (six starts), he completed 129-of-216 passes for 1,611 yards, eight touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Those picks came in bunches, too, highlighted by a brutal five-pick game against the Redskins in Week 16. On top of that, he also fumbled the ball four times, losing two of them. The times that Barkley helped a fantasy team were even less than the times he came through for the Bears, a fact that isn't going to be lost in the shuffle this offseason. Which team picks him up next will prove the most important factor in his 2017 fantasy potential. But with a starting gig unlikely to materialize, Barkley can return to being a non-factor in all fantasy football leagues.--Tony
