Marvin Williams 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoCharlotte Hornets forward Marvin Williams is coming off another solid season for the Hornets. Williams provided 10.1 points and 5.4 rebounds, but his value lies in his defensive numbers as he posted underrated value in these categories with 0.8 blocks and 0.9 steals a night. Throw this in with 1.9 makes from three and he does not look so bad until you look at his overall field goal percentage of 42.2% (which ties his career-low from two seasons ago). We can finally assume that the Hornets are in rebuild mode this year, so where does that leave Williams? He is presently behind Miles Bridges on the depth chart at the power forward slot, but it is a bit of a mystery of what starting lineup they roll out to begin the season. Williams will probably go undrafted in most leagues, and if he does, add him to your watchlist as he may once again, post some fantasy-worthy numbers.
