Markelle Fultz 2018-2019 Player Outlook
6 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Markelle Fultz goes into the 2018-2019 season at a very crucial point in his career. The second-year point guard didn't play much last year, appearing in just 14 games and averaging 18.1 minutes per contest. In those outings, Fultz averaged 7.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. Fultz also shot just 40.5 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from the charity stripe. To further showcase his shooting woes, when Fultz was within five feet of the rim, he shot 55.6 percent from the field. However, when he was further than five feet from the basket, he had only a 26.3 field goal percentage, hitting only 15 of his 57 total shots. With the current depth chart, the 76ers won't be giving Fultz many opportunities with Ben Simmons and J.J. Redick starting at the guard spots in addition to the more consistent T.J. McConnell being the first guard off the bench.
