7 months agoAlthough they needed a late rally in which they played a very small role in, the New York Yankees swept the Baltimore Orioles Thursday afternoon at Camden Yards. Arguably their most reliable player, Luke Voit, played a key role in the victory. The 28-year-old recorded two hits, but his biggest was a solo home run in the eighth that stretched his club's lead to four runs. While in the moment the home run simply appeared to be padding a lead, it would loom large, as the Orioles scored four in the same frame to tie the game. The Yankees ultimately prevailed, but the game was further evidence of Voit's worth on this first-place club.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
