Le'Veon Bell 2018 Outlook: Don't Sweat The Holdout
6 years agoThe talk of last off-season was whether Le'Veon Bell would hold out all preseason and if that would affect his performance. It was a tough start in 2017, as Bell only averaged 14.2 fantasy points per game, which was 15th among running backs in PPR leagues. Even after a slow start to the season, Bell still finished as the RB2 and third overall player in PPR leagues. From Week 4 through Week 17, Bell averaged 24.9 fantasy points per game, best in the NFL.
With contract negotiations dragging on throughout the preseason, Bell's status is up in the air again. Even if he gets off to a slow start again, he plays in one of the best offenses in the NFL and will see a ton of volume. He will be just fine when it matters most for fantasy owners and should be a top-three pick in all formats.
