Latavius Murray Ready For Backup Role
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Latavius Murray brings a change of pace to the team's backfield this season. With that being said, he is still a very touchdown-dependent RB3. Murray steps into Mark Ingram’s former spot after providing some decent stats as Dalvin Cook’s backup in Minnesota last year. The Saints also seem to be excited about undrafted rookie Devine Ozigbo after he had a good preseason and ended up making the final 53-man roster. Murray is still the clear-cut back up to Alvin Kamara but probably won't get anymore carries than he did last year. After missing some time in the preseason, everything is pointing to Murray being ready for Week 1.
