Latavius Murray 2023 Outlook: Deep League Bench Stash If He Makes Roster
2 years agoBuffalo Bills running back Latavius Murray looked to be on his way out of the league after he was released by the New Orleans Saints last year, but he signed with the Denver Broncos and rushed for 703 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games. The 33-year-old power back still has juice, so he could be on the fantasy football radar at some point in 2023. If he makes the 53-man roster, he'll likely be behind James Cook and Damien Harris, but he might be worth stashing in deep leagues. If Harris goes down with an injury, Murray could see immediate action as the Bills' primary goal line back. In one of the elite offenses in the NFL, that's a valuable role for fantasy football for managers in a tough spot at running back. Obviously, his value will be contingent on making the roster and having some luck, but there are plenty of leagues deep enough for him to be worth rostering. He suddenly had value as the fourth Broncos' RB option last season and could find himself in another fantasy-relevant role in 2023 should things go his way.
